The principle that the rolling elements on the slider move back and forth in the track groove, and there will be some noise when the rolling elements slide. How to deal with this situation? Is there any way to reduce this noise? Maybe it is too much noise and abnormal operation, which reduces the life and accuracy of the equipment and increases maintenance costs.

1. Different equipment and different pre-pressure will also cause noise;

The so-called pre-tightening refers to the pre-tightening force of the rolling elements of the linear guide slider on the track, also called the degree of fit.

The preload grades of linear guide sliders are divided into light preload, medium preload, medium preload and overweight preload. The selection conditions for different preloading methods are as follows:

Light-load preloading, suitable for equipment with clear load direction, good hand feeling, low impact force and parallel operation of 2 axes. The equipment has low requirements for precision, and small sliding resistance is required every time. Such as: beam welding machinery, binding machinery, active packaging machine, industrial machinery XY axis, active door and window processing machine, welding machine, fusion machine, east-west exchange equipment, various material supply equipment, CNC engraving and milling machine, light milling machine.

Medium preload: equipment with cantilever load or moment, equipment with single axis operation, equipment with light load and high precision. Such as grinding machine table feed axis, active coating machine, industrial robot, CNC lathe, EDM machine tool, measuring instrument, fine XY channel.

Heavy preloading: high rigidity of the equipment, high impact, heavy load on the machine tool, and heavy cutting are required. For example, machining bases, CNC lathes, grinding wheel feed axes for grinders, milling machines, vertical or horizontal boring machines, and tool guides.

Overweight preload: requires high rigidity and has a great impact on the sensation, such as the Z-axis of work machinery, which is suitable for heavy-load preload machinery.

2. The noise of linear guides is simply present in dusty occupations;

3. Different smooth grease will cause noise;

Some customers use high-strength grease because it is inconvenient to refuel the machine. The viscosity is extremely large, the friction of the rolling elements becomes larger, and the noise is increased. It is possible that some equipment manufacturers are not diligent in refueling, which makes the rolling elements not smooth and increases the noise. In this case, the service life of the equipment will also be shortened. We usually recommend customers to use Mobil No. 2 grease, Ruijian linear guide special grease, viscosity, its smoothing function and constituent molecules, suitable for various equipment.

4. The selection is incorrect, and some equipment is lightly loaded. However, because many customers cannot calculate the dynamic load, they feel that choosing a large one instead of a small one will definitely increase noise, overload the motor, and shorten the lifespan.
